The Club was visited by one of the City's most successful businessmen this evening as we welcomed Keith Bradsahw as our speaker.
Keith, a member of the Rotary club of Tettenhall, and wife of Club member Pam, had joined us to tell us about the exciting year he had spent as High Sheriff of the county of West Midlands - the Queen's judicial representative in the county.
The Sheriff is an annual appointment by warrant from the Privy Council and the role can trace its origins beyond the tenth century when the 'reeve' was the keeper of the King's peace throughout the county.
During his year in office Keith successfully promoted social cohesion in the county's communities, and supported the work of the voluntary sector, emergency services and the judiciary. We are all immensely proud of the job that he and Pat did.
